**NOTE - According to A Book of Strattons (p. 48), quoting Davy’s Suffolk Collections, the manor of Kirkton alias Shotley came into the Stratton family by the marriage of Isabel Loudham, daughter and heir of Sir William Loudham (died 1376), to the father (unnamed) of Walter de Stratton, who, in turn was the father of Augustine de Stratton, first noted below.  In light of this, the association of this William de Stratton with the Loudham family is interesting.**
