3. William Benjamin² Yates (Isaac¹) was born February 16, 1891 in Oil Trough, Independence Co., Arkansas, and died November 26, 1967 in Clarendon, Monroe Co., Arkansas. He married Parlee (Pearl) Ruth Brumley September 25, 1917 in Sulphur Springs, Texas (Source: Certified copy of marriage license from Hopkins Co., TX.), daughter of James Brumley and Amanda White.

Notes for William Benjamin Yates:
Will was inducted into the U.S. Army on August 8, 1918 and was discharged on Dec. 29, 1918. He was a Private First Class in the Medical Department. at Camp Bowie,
At the time of his death he was retired and living in Apt. 615 in government. housing on Jefferson St. in Clarendon, AR. He died at home with his family around him.
The marriage ceremony for W. B. and Parlee was performed by T. J. Tucker, County Judge of Hopkins Co., TX.

Notes for Parlee (Pearl) Ruth Brumley:
Parlee Ruth Brumley, born in Sulphur Springs, TX in 1893, married James Newton Harris Sr. and had one son given the same name. No one knows if Mr. Harris died or if they divorced.
She married William Benjamin Yates in 1918 in Hopkins Co., TX and they moved to AR with her son from the first marriage. From AR they moved to Vicksburg, MS where son Curtis was born then they moved back to Clarendon, AR where Maudie and Margaret were born.
Margaret only lived to be about 2 years old. Cause of death is unknown at this time.
The family eventually moved back to Vicksburg, MS where Bessie and Leon were born and stayed for a short time then moving back to Clarendon, AR. Parlee lived in Clarendon until the time of her death on Wednesday, June 27, 1984 while a patient at Stuttgart Memorial Hospital in Stuttgart, AR. Funeral services were at 2pm at Brown's Funeral Home, Clarendon, AR, burial was Friday, June 29, 1984 in Shady Grove Cemetery just outside of Clarendon, AR.
Her daughters Maudie and Bessie still live in Clarendon at this time.
Her son Leon (PeeWee) lives in Alexandria, LA at this time.
