The Baverstock's Family treeUpdated March 5, 2008 |
I have always been intersted in where my roots came from, and had initially thought that because I come from a small family that it would be quite easy to trace. Unfortunately this is not the case, I have very little information on my fathers side apart from the facts that his father was a lorry driver for Hovis and they lived at Holloway in London. My Father was in the Royal Navy during the 2nd World War, and was for some time based in Alexandra. My Mothers father (Charles Carpenter)died when she was 4 yrs old and all i know about Charles is that he joined The Duke of Cornwall Light Infantry before the First World War, doing a tour in India before being sent to France on the outbreak of war. After the war he had a job as a signalman on the railway in Bow, London |
