| My ancestry is predominantly Irish... I'm descended of immigrants who arrived in New York City between the Great Famine and the turn-of-the-century (settling in the tenement districts of the Lower East Side, "Hell's Kitchen", and South Brooklyn). My father's family goes back to the counties of Offaly, Louth, Derry, Donegal, Limerick, Fermanagh, and Roscommon, mixed with some Lowland Scots, German, and English blood. My mother's side goes back to Donegal, Westmeath, and Longford and is mixed with Italian, while her father is descended of Scotch-Irish frontiersmen, and distantly a descendant of English puritans and French Huguenots that settled the town of Hempstead, N.Y. in the 1600s. --- FAMILY HONOR ROLL --- FRENCH & INDIAN WAR...
