2. JOHN COE2 WATKINS (REZIN1) was born February 22, 1811 in Fredricks Co., Maryland, and died November 18, 1879 in Center Township, St. Joseph Co., Indiana. He married SARAH ANN KOLLAR April 19, 1832 in Tuscarawas Co., Ohio, daughter of ADAM KOLLAR and HESTER SWINEHART.

OHN COE WATKINS:
In 1816 he moves with his parents to Jefferson Co,. Ohio, near Stubenville, and in 1824 moved to Carroll Co., Ohio. When 15 years of age he united himself to the M.E. Church. About 18 yaears of age he went to learn the blacksmith trade with Michael Kollar of Tuscarawas County, Ohio.
The following quotation is taken from the old family Bible, as written therein by John Coe Watkins, quote: "My father, Rezin Watkins, was born in Fredricks Co., Maryland, and when he was about 21 years old he married my mother, Aletha German. He was of Holland descent and my mother's parentage was English. She was born in Virginia and was taken to Maryland when two years old."

On April 19, 1832, he married Sarah Ann Kollar.

Ezra married second tome to Ella M. McAlister 17 January 1923 in St. Cloud Florida. Ella died 11 December 1942.

Soon after the birth of Ezra, 1849, JOhn Coe and Sarah adopted a babyboy Calvin. He ran away from home to join his older foster brothers in the Civil War, where he died. Time and place unknown. Being too young to join the ranks, he served as a chore boy.

The twins died in infancy and the other three children died of diptheria within two weeks, leavin them childless. These children died in South Dakota."
