Deanna,
Thank you for contacting me about William Duncan Thompson. I hope we are researching the same one. Information I have indicates these dates for him: b. 29 March, 1839/40 - d. 23 Oct. 1911; m. Lethie/Lethe Ann Mullins. He was a Confederate soldier ( I have the remnants of a badge he brought back from one of his Confederate reunions).I think he and Lethe were childless. His father was Thomas Surall Thompson, 1816 - 1870, and his grandfather was William Thompson, B. ca 1780, wife Zylpha. They were in dwelling#463, family # 474 in the 1860 Copiah Co., Ms. census.
His siblings were Henry H.,( Wm.), Priscilla Elizabeth, Thomas Jefferson. G.W., Daniel Albert, and Edmund Henshaw.
I have a picture identified by his brother Edmund as Duncan, a picture of his louse I took in 1955, and some hand written notes referring to visits to his home by that same brother.
Does any of this appear to refer to the Duncan you are researching? If so, I would enjoy seeing your information on this Thompson family. My wife, Janice, is the granddaughter of E. Henshaw Thompson.
Incidentally, I wonder if you knew my friend in Denham Springs, Tempe Fenn Crosby, co-author of the genealogy ofAndrew Boyd of Pike Co., Ms.?
