54. GRO Dublin, Death Register, District of Portadown, Union of Lurgan, Vol 1, 1st Qtr, Page 697, No 44, Year 1883., Thomas Little died on March 12, 1883 in Drumgor aged 77. His son Samuel, who was living in Drumgor, was present at death and acted as informant. The cause of death was gastric pain, which he had had for five months. The death certificate was certified by a doctor. At the time of death he was married and his occupation was recorded as labourer.

On January 31, 1874, Richard Stevenson, bachelor, age full, a labourer living in Derryadd, married Hannah Little, spinster, a minor, weaver living in Derryadd, by license. The ceremony was performed by John E. Lewis. The father's names were Robert Stevenson, soldier and Thomas Lyttle, labourer. Richard signed his Mark, an X. Witnesses were Richard Murphy and Jeremiah Lyttle. (NOTE: Age full means over 21. Hannah's age was 19)

On October 14, 1877 Margaret Jane daughter to Richard & Hannah Stevenson, who were living in Derryadd, was baptised in Ardmore Church by H.W. Lett. Richard's occupation was labourer. Margaret Jane was born on September 17, 1876.

His father was a Permanent Way Inspector on the N.W. Railway. The ceremony was performed by C.A. Gillmore, Senior Chaplain of Quetta.

British Library Bengal Deaths, IOR N/1/192/270., Burials at St. Paul's Church, Umbala Died April 3, 1885 On April 3, 1885 Mary Ann Little, aged 32, wife of Conductor Little, Commissariat Department, was buried. The cause of death was, 1. Simple enlargement to liver. 2. Oedema of glottis. The ceremony was performed by Frederick V. Knox, Chaplain of Umbala. (NOTE: Mary Anne was 25 years old at her marriage in 1865. If accurate her age at death was 46 years).

July 25, 1830, August 1, 1830. On August 3, 1930 Thomas Little and Mary Wilson were married in the Church and Parish of Ardmore by the publications of Banns by D.W. Macmullen. Thomas and Mary both acknowledged the solemnization by signing their Marks, an X. Witnesses were Francis Maguire and Robert Humphries (a third witness name was unreadable). MY NOTES: The evidence of the dates of Banns proves that the marriage was in 1830. Clearly the Diocesan clerk who transposed the parish records below made an error.

However the local residents quite rightly know their Parish as Ardmore.

On August 13, 1848, Mary Little aged 46, who was living in Derryadd was buried in Ardmore Church Cemetery by John E. Lewis. (NOTE: Assume she died on August 12, 1848. Mary may have been nursed in Derryadd by family or friends. Her home was with Thomas and her children in Ardmore.)
