Notes for CORA DIX MC NEIL: It is unknown if Cora had children from either of her marriages. She is buried in St. Helena, CA. After the death of her father, an entry in Homer's diary states, "Mother and Cora went East in August, 1882." In the 1901 City Directory for San Francisco, Cora D. White is listed as a proof reader. It's likely that she was working in her brother's printing business (McNeil Brothers Printing, owned by Albert Beebe McNeil). Albert, and his business, are also listed in the City Directory. |
