BELSHE February 15, 1846 in Moniteau County, MO. He was born 1823 in Monticello, Wayne County, KY, and died 1859 in Geyserville, Sonoma County, CA. She married (2) GOOLSBY WOODS December 16, 1860.

5. WILLIAM ROBERTSON3 MORRIS (JOHN2, JAMES1) was born December 31, 1835 in Moniteau County, Missouri, and died February 04, 1915 in Sacramento, CA. He married ELIZABETH COLTON LARRABEE July 28, 1861 in Geyserville, Sonoma County, CA, daughter of CHARLES LARRABEE and ELIZABETH COLTON. She was born March 06, 1837 in Worchester, Massachusettes, and died December 13, 1901 in Phoenix, Arizona.

ILLIAM ROBERTSON MORRIS:
William came to California 1849 with his parents and siblings, settling first in Sacramento County, then Yolo County, and finally in Sonoma County. He worked in farming and merchandising in Healdsburg. On October 4, 1865, he and W.A.C. Smith began publication of the newspaper the "Democratic Standard." In Oct 1866, Smith sold his interest to William. In January 1867, William traded the newspaper to J.B. Fitch for land Fitch owned.
William was the County Clerk for Sonoma County, CA, in 1870.
He came to Phoenix, AZ, prior to the 1880 census. His wife and children did not immediately come with him.
He was the County Recorder for Maricopa County, AZ, from 1884-1886.
In the 1900 census, both William and Elizabeth were living with their daughter, Carolyn Morris McNeil, and son-in-law, Homer McNeil, in Phoenix, AZ. Some time after his wife's death, William moved back to CA.

She did not immediately follow her husband to Phoenix. She is listed in city directory of Santa Rosa, CA, in 1885 as School Teacher.
