“The last Will and Testament of Adam Baughman of North Huntingdon Township, Westmoreland County. I Adam Baughman, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, and being of sound mind and memory blessed be Almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner and form as follows (To wit)
*1st I give and bequeath unto my beloved sons Michael, Jacob, Peter and Christian, out of my personal and real Estate Two hundred dollars each more than my beloved daughters shall receive, and after the two hundred dollars to each of my sons are deducted, then my beloved Daughters Mary, the wife of Joseph W. Klingensmith, Elizabeth, the wife of Joseph Lenhart, Margaret, the wife of George Kroushore, Ann the wife of John Barlin, Lidia the wife of Samuel Allshouse shall have equal shares; that is, all my beloved children shall have share and share alike with what they have got already for which I hold their notes, And I further will that my daughters Mary Klingensmith after the part that they the said Mary and Joseph W. Klingensmith have got already is deducted then what is left of her share in my estate personal and real shall be left standing in my plantation whereon I now live, during her natural life, of which she shall have the Interest annually during her natural life, and after her death it shall come to her heirs if any are living and if not then it shall fall back to my heirs.
*2d. I will that if any of my beloved children want any of my plantations or tracts of land, then they shall apply to the Orphans Court of said County aforesaid, to get the same appraised according to law and take the same at the sum for which the said Land was appraised, and if any of my land is appraised and taken by any of my children the whole or none or any that is left not taken, then and in that case, I do hereby vest in my Executors full Power and Authority to dispose of my Real Estate by Public Sale to the highest and best Bidder and to convey in few (sic) simple, in as full and as large a manner in every respect, as I could myself do if living.
*3d. I will give and bequeath unto John Krock, son of my beloved daughter Catharine, Deceased, the sum of Five hundred Dollars which he shall have when he is twenty four years of age and no sooner, paid over to him by my Executors And I do hereby make and ordain my son Michael Baughman and Samuel Allshouse Jr., my Executors revoking all former Wills by me made In Witness whereof I have unto set my hand and seal, the twenty-fourth day of October in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and thirty six.

Signed Sealed published and declared by the above named Adam Baughman to be his last will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence have subscribed our names as Witnesses thereto.

Whereas I Adam Baughman, of North Huntingdon Township, in the County of Westmoreland having made and duly executed my last Will and Testament in writing bearing date the 24th October A.D. 1836, Now I do hereby declare this present writing to be as a Codicil to my last Will and Testament and direct the same to be annexed thereto and taken as part thereof—and as I did not give unto my beloved daughter Mary Klingensmith her portion with the rest of my children, only the interest thereof, during her natural life. I revoke that part of my will, and I do now give and bequeath unto the said Mary her full share of my personal and real estate as well as my other children are to have (Except the two hundred dollars that my sons each are to have) Share and share alike. In Witness whereof I the said Adam Baughman have to this Codicil set my hand and seal this 11th July 1840.
