She was the daughter of John Ervan Tant and Sarah Elizabeth Griffith. He married (2) Jeanette P. VanWarmer Aft. 14 Jun 1967. She was born 15 Sep 1919 in Michigan, and died 4 Feb 1988 in Flint, Genesee County, Michigan. She was the daughter of Edgar VanWarmer and Anna Oldswager.

She was a member of the Church of the Nazerene.
