Transcription of Godfrey Fiester's Last Will & Testament:

In the name of God Aman I Gotfreat Fishterer of Muncy CreekTownship in the County of Lycoming Considering the uncertainty of thismortal life and being of sound mind and memory but weak in bodyblessed be god for the same do make and publish this my last will andtestament in manner, and form following (viz)
First I give and recommand my Soul unto god who give it and myremains after my deceas to be entered in a christian like manner atthe discretion of my Executor and such worldly Estate wherewith I havebeen blessed and am now possess of I give and dispose of in thefollowing manner and form to wit;
Secand. It is my will and I order and direct my Executors hereinafter mentioned to pay all my funeral expenses and just debts out ofmy estate,
Third it is my will and I do hereby direct that my beloved wifeMary Machdalenah Feasterer shall have and possess all my Landed estateand recieve thre rents and profits there from and such of all thehoused funiture and kitchen as she may think proper and she is to haveher choice of two horses out of All the horses I now possess and threecows, one wagon one plough one harrow and two sets of gears four hogsand four sheep and sufficient Bread and Meat untill one year after mydeceas for her...and the children out of the grain in the barn or inthe ground, as the case may be All of which She is to have and possessuntill the youngest child is fourteen years of age and after that, itis my will that She shall have out of my estate ten bushels of wheatTen bushels of Rye and Ten bushels of Buckwheat two hundred weight ofPorke & one hundred weight of Beef and sow one quarter of acre flaxyearly and one room of her own choice in the manjer House andsufficient fire wood cut and hauled to the door fit for the fire andfifteen Dollars in cash and four sheep and one cow horse & saddle andsufficient fodder for them, one bed and beding and bed head one tenplate stove & one loome and Tackling & Gears and kitchen furniture asmuch as She may think sufficient all of which she is to have andpossess during her natural life.
Fourthly it is my will that all my personal property and which isnot herein before bequeathed Shall be sold by my Executors and theMoney occuring therefrom to Gather with my outstanding debts is to beequally divided between my sons Jacob Daniel Gotfreat BenjaminCharles, Daughters Mary Sally Elizabeth Susanna & Sofia Share andShare alike except my son Henry who has already got his full share ofall my estate and that he is not to have any more of my estate ofwhich I am now possessed of. And after my youngest Child shall havebecome fourteen years of age it is my will that all my land Shall beapproaised and valued by traders good and lawful men & if non of myChildren before mentioned shall be able to take it at the appraisement& pay out the respective shares to my son Godtfreat two shares of allthe land he being a cripple and not able to work and the residue to beequally divided between my sons Jacob, Daniel, Benjamin & Charles andall my Daughters Share and Share alike except my son Henry as abovestated he being already provided for then it that case my executorsare hereby impowered to sell all my land for the best price that canbe got and I do hereby impower them to convey the same by a goodSufficient convenyance to whomever shall buy the same..............
