Source: "Starr: The Five Sons of John and Mary Starr who came to Chester County, Pennsylvania, in the early 1700's and their descendants." Moses Starr and Emily Eastman, her great grandfather, lived in Delaware Co., OH; Merrick Starr and Ann Updegraff also lived there. Ann Updegraff is descended from the Hussey family in 1450 England.

FERGUSON: Descended from the line of King Fergus I (Ferguson family of Abendeenshire, Scotland) (1300-1700), and three Scottish brothers that settled in Prince Georges Co., Maryland about 1700. Source: "Ferguson Family History" The Times Presses, Canandalgua, NY (1905). Robert Ferguson settled in Prince Georges County, Maryland. In 1807, his descendants moved to Phelps-Clifton Springs, NY.

Research questions: How are Mary Bell, Elizabeth Tyson and Mary Beall related (said to be cousins) and who are their ancestors? Where are the graves of Robert Bell Ferguson & Mary Baggerly Ferguson (couldn't find markers in Clifton Springs, NY cemetery)? Who is the family of Mary Reid, wife of Robert Ferguson Cuer?

MOONEY: Descended from Robert Mooney, b. about 1809 in NY. His three sons enlisted in the Civil War. John A. Mooney (Ruth's great grandfather) served in the Union Army (Illinois Co. William Mooney also enlisted with Co K Reg 12 Infantry; Robert Mooney enlisted in the 9th calvary and died in 1865 near Montgomery, Alabama; he's buried in Marietta, Georgia. John A. John Mooney's wife Christina Mary Stevenson was born in Denmark.
