Researching the Beggs name. My father was Samuel P. Beggs, Jr. born Roanoke, VA in 1923. His father was Samuel P. Beggs, Sr. Samuel Sr was married twice, first wife unknown, (Katheryn or Kathleen), I think they had four boys, looking for this family. Second wife was Minnie Phelps, born in Madison Heights, VA 1896, I have much info on this line. Samuel P. Beggs, Sr also had a sister named Lillie who married John FRANCE and lived in the Baltimore, MD area in the 1950s. I will share the info I have with anyone researching the same family. Looking for the connections between the VA Phelps line and the surnames of Megginson, Archer, Legrand, and Irving. Where did the Mary Irving who married Samuel Moore in VA about 1850 come from?
