George and Ella also had 2 girls who died when very young of measles.
I have certified copy of record of marriage. George lived in Argyle, Ella living in Argyle. Birthplace of George Detroit, Ella, Croswell.
George was a Detroit Fireman. Arlee told me that George was fond of straw hats ( the type worn by the barber shop quartet.
I have Certificate of Birth, #020423, Wayne County, Detroit, MI State Office No. 5-205, Date of birth given as February 7, 1871, Name George Kretsch, father Martin Kretsch, mother Margaret Kretsch Detroit,
Funeral card listed George's birth date as 1870 but I believe that was wrong. I believe George was born in 1871. I don't know if he started lying about his age to get a job or what. I believe I have a banner from a funeral flower arrangement with 5th battalion on it, which was for George.
I have a copy of 1920 census, George and Ella living in Argyle Township with George 48, Ella 42, George 14 (my father), Edward 11, Kenneth 9.

He married DOROTHY JOSEPHINE HOLLAND April 08, 1921 in New York, NY, daughter of WILLIAM HOLLAND and JOSEPHINE ROWE. She was born November 27, 1892, and died November 24, 1987 in Plainfield, NJ.

Notes for HAROLD ANDERSON:
Grew up in Cadillac, Michigan, Father was a Professional Photographer, then farmer. Attended Cadillac High School. Attended & Graduated, Harvard University 1917 (BA Lit) Served with Ambulance Corps, US Army, France WW1, Sgt. Hon. Discharge. Worked at Cushman & Dennison 1920 - 1925. Joined Thos. A. Edison 1925 various Depts incl. Record Dept. to 1930: Worked at Calibron Products (Theodore Edison) 1930-1940 Secy=Treas. Worked at Edison Museum 1940-1975, Ass't Curator. I believe that they had a very small wedding, attended by a few college friends, at "The Little Church Around the Corner", in New York City. They had a very brief honeymoon, in the Bear Mountain region, then first lived in an apartment in Long Island NJ
