Notes for JAMES HUGHES:
Came to Michigan approximately 1834. Town Hall Cemetery - Located in the churchyard of the Catholic Church which was built in 1840 & flourished until 1854 when it was destroyed by fire. Across the road from this cemetery now stands the old town house of Dexter Township.

Susan was blind. She drank gunpowder tea, a luxury.
