Westchester Co. NY Bells,Ackermans,Slagles,Yerks

I have been researching The Bell family in Westchester Co. N.Y. The earliest of my Bell family that I know is John Bell And Mary Slagle,of North Castle. They first showed up in the census of 1840, although at least one son was born there in 1834.
John Bell born abt.1795 in Scotland. Parents unknown. Wife Mary Slagle born abt. 1806 in Armonk, NY. Parents: Conrad Slagle, born abt. 1765 wife Maria Ackerman, daughter of Abraham Ackerman.
Children: Samuel S. Bell Born 1834 m. Caroline C. Yerks
John Bell born 1829 m. Armenia Lewis
William H. Bell born 1837 m. Pheobe P. Farrington

Second marriage, Samuel S. Bell, Chilren: James E.Bell, Ellen, and Theodore. Samuel Bell was killed in the Civil War in 1864.
