It would appear that John Rutledge (this would be the father of both Thomas Officer Rutledge (who married Sarah Smith) and Robert B Rutledge (who married Susannah Mayes) moved to Pa. Which may give credence to those of us who feel Jane Officer Rutledge may have been born in Pa and not Ireland, as many believe.

Bio's I have copied really seem to be a bit confused. Another biographer has Jane Officer married to married to her son Robert Rutledge.

I have abstracts from Lancaster Co, Pa which mention some of the Rutledge's but mostly this seems to be talking of a Matthew Rutledge, and I have not learned who this Rutledge is. Remembering that Lancaster Co., Pa that the Officer's lived at that time. I notice that the primary text is about Matthew Rutledge, mentions his sibling's names also his father, Isaac Rutledge.
