| Searching for descendants of George (Delphia) Law, Sr., and Hannah Williams. They lived in the Coffeeville and Jackson, Alabama areas, which would include Toddtown, Salitpa, Zimco, Winn, Grove Hill and any communities between them. Most of the names are Law, Bumpers, Pugh, Cox, Coats/Coates, Howze, Kiel, Todd, Chapman, House, Thornton, Johnson, Brown, Williams, Fluker, Gamble, Gilmore, Beckham, Peavy, Alston, Calhoun, Dubose, Burrell, Caves, Hurd, Philon/Philan, Grayson, Hytower, Jackson, Jenkins, Oliver, Taylor, Campbell, Davis, Hayes, Horn, Jones, Malone, Robinson, Smith, and Titus to name a few. I have George Law, Sr., born about 1785 in Virginia and his wife Delphia, born about 1820, also from Virginia. The lived in Dead Level (Ebenezer Community, in the mid to late 1800s, at which George passed away between 1870-1880. Delphia passed away between 1900-1910, while living in the Ebenezer Community. Hannah Williams died in 1912, from blood poisoning, while living with her son, Gus Hurd, in Coffeeville. This is an all too familiar story, but I am searching for the descendants of these names listed. Most of the family moved to Mobile, Los Angeles, Detroit and Denver, to name some places. Others moved to Baldwin County, Alabama and Lower Mississippi. Anyone who know of this setting, please feel free to email me. I will add as much info, as it becomes available, and hopefully, I will not loose access to this site, in the future, as I have done in the past. |
