This is Debbie's great grandmother, who was a nurse during the time of a bad fever breakout, that was killing a lot of people in the South. This was in the 1920s. This picture was taken in about the 1910s, and has been colorized. Ada died with the same fever, she was hired to help other sick people with. She was born in Bladen Springs, Alabama, and died in Oak Hill, Alabama. Her parents were Lewis and Francis Thompson/Thompston.
