1. WILLIAM¹ BENNETT was born Abt. 1765, and died 1813 in Queensbury N.Y.. He married MIRIAH ----?. She died 1820 in Hartford, N.Y..

Notes for WILLIAM BENNETT:
William Bennett is somewhat of a mystery. He has possibly lived in three different places, in accordance with census records around the year 1790 there was a William Bennett in Argyle, N.Y. Also in Queensbury, N.Y. living next door to Abraham Wing who was a Quaker. Then in 1810 William may have been living in Luzerne, N.Y.
Elijah W. Bennett son of William signed an affidavit in 1854 pertaining to the children of William. The affidavit says William Jr. died in Queensbury 25 March 1813, unmarried, served as a private in an artillery company in the war of 1812.
Jeremiah Bennett died out in Iowa in 1853. Margaret Bennett died in Hartford 1829. Elijah W. Bennett was in Kingsbury, N.Y. in 1840.
