3. PANL, Parish Records, Methodist Church, Burin, Box 1 Burin, Baptisms 1816-1833, From The Research of Judy Foote: The reference I made for Thomas Foote in PANL, Parish Records, Burin, Methodist/ United Church, Burin Box 1, Baptisms 1816-1833 is not for the birth record of Thomas. Thomas' birth record does not appear in this register at all. I usually note the first place I see a person name, if I don't have any birth or baptismal records for them. In this case Thomas and Elizabeth daughter, Rebecca's, baptismal is recorded in this register and that was why I reference Thomas as being in this register. It was for his daughter's baptism not his. This is the very first mention I have of Thomas and his family in Burin so I try to make a note of where I found the name, unfortunately the computer programs do not allow one to be creative with their referencing.

Her married name was Deujaux. Her husband came to Newfoundland to learn english when he was a young man, this is how they met. Now I remember his son George Deujaux he used to come to Grandmother Foote's for his holidays and also to learn english. When she married they went to St Pierre to live. Then later on in life her husband wanted to go back to France. So I guess there is a branch of the Foote family in France ."
