John Jones, alias John McSwain husband of Arrena Hatfield. John McSwain told his family killed a man in a fist fight before 1835 in North Carolina. He moved to Tennessee and changed his name to John Jones. The story has been passed on to each generation of the Jones family. photo courtesy of Laura.
