Notes for JOHN E. TANNER , 1812:
       During the War of 1812, in the roster of Capt. Robert Quarterman's Co. of Second Regiment Georgia Militia, John Tanner is listed as a Private. This company was raised in Liberty Co., Jan, 18, 1815 and mustered out at Riceboro on Feb. 26, 1815. It was commanded by Lt. Col. John Pray, of Brig. Gen. John Floyd's Brigade of Maj. Gen. John McIntosh's Division.
