Notes for VICY JORDAN:
       Vicy, the wife of Thaddeus Tanner, was NOT a daughter of Abraham Jordan, but rather, of Henry Jordan & wife, Nancy Tanner - the said Nancy being a daughter of Wilson Tanner (Vol 3). Abraham Jordan's daughter, Vicy died young, as was stated in his record in Vol4. The said Henry Jordan was a son of John Jordan (Vol 2). Vicy Tanner is buried in Hall Cemetery, Coffee Co., GA. section 6, lot 102.

38. JAMES ASBURY (JIM PAT)6 TANNER (CANDACY5, WILSON4, JOHN E.3, JOSEPH2, CAL1) was born May 16, 1866, and died Mar 17, 1945. He married MARY A. MERCER.

Notes for JAMES ASBURY (JIM PAT) TANNER:
       James Asbury Tanner, better known as 'Jim Pat' to his family was born in 1866 and reared in an area just northwest of Camp Ground Church. He lived on the farm of his Grandparents, Wilson and Pollie Taylor Tanner until he met and married Mary A. Mercer, daughter of John Mercer and Elisha Ann Rigdon.
       For a while Mr. Tanner operated a saw mill along with his farming interests. It was Mr. Tanner who donated the trees and sawed the lumber for the first church building to be built after the log cabin church ceased to serve it's purpose.
       To Mr. and Mrs. Tanner were born six children: Arvin, Arrehena, Renner, Mary Magdalene (Maggie), Minnie Mae, and Kennie. Arvin born in 1900, married Polly Sears, and are the parents of three boys, and three girls. Arrehena born in 1901, married Roy Stanford Deen, and are the parents of James, Roy, Sammy, Delores, Winefred, and Delano. Renner married Tommy Peacock, and are the parents of three daughters. Maggie married Herbert T. Douglas, and are the parents of four girls and two boys. Minnie Mae first married John Bennett, and had one girl. After his death, she married Jack McCarty, and had one boy. Kennie married R.E. Futch, and are the parents of two boys.        
       James Asbury was the illegitimate son of Candacy Tanner, and is buried in Camp Ground Cemetery, Bacon Co., GA.

42. LEONARD FRANKLIN6 TANNER (JAMES RUSSELL5, WILSON4, JOHN E.3, JOSEPH2, CAL1) was born Nov 25, 1872, and died May 15, 1947. He married MARY ELIZABETH TESTON.

Notes for LEONARD FRANKLIN TANNER:
       Quarterly Conference reports of the Camp Ground Methodist Church reflect the support of Mr. L.F. Tanner to his church. He was born into a family of "church-going" and "God Loving" people who as the record show gave the land upon which the first known church was built.
       He was a prominent farmer in his community, and with his wife, Mary Elizabeth Teston, reared a family of five girls and five boys: Oliff, Clevon, Elisha, Viola, Eula, Clinton, Emmitt, Oliver, Julian, Ella Mae.
       Oliff married Ed McDougold of Montgomery Co. and reared six children; three girls and three boys. Clevon married Hubert Taylor of Bacon Co. and to them were born Bonelle and Jeraline.
       Elisha Clifton never married. Viola married Willie Stewart of Bacon Co. and they have two boys and a girl. Eula married Eley Hayes of Bacon Co., and to them were born four boys and one girl. Eula and Eley are the grandparents of twelve grandchildren.
       Clinton married Esther Meeks of Bacon Co. and they have three girls and two boys. Emmitt married Eunice Jackson of Bacon Co. and have only one child, a boy; Bobby. Emmitt is a veteran of World War II.
       Oliver married Alice Crowley of Bacon Co. and they are the parents of one boy and two girls. Ella married Cleon Jones of Montgomery Co. They have two boys; Bennie and Jimmy. Julian married Kizzie Cole of Bacon Co. and have a boy and a girl; Ann and Jack.
       All of the L.F. Tanner children are now or have been members at Camp Ground.
