Dear friends We left Lima on Saturday Morning half past 3 oclock and arrived at Collumbiana at 1 oclock in the afternoon and at 2 oclock we came home and found all our folks in good helth but not in good spirits. The frost ? done more injury than we realy expected when we was with you we will not get one bushel of rye or wheat in our county now in the surrounded countys our corn and potatoes not started from the first frost and on Saturday morning it was cut down again yesterday morning there was a heavy frost again there is not a green sprot of any vegetable left all our fruit is gone the farmers on Saturday was busy in cutting their wheat for father and son was replanting their corn we hat a warm rain this morning and if it will not get cold again it will soon start corn and potatoes again the farmers will sow as much buckwheat as they can get seed. I expect that Mr. Armsrong get considerable ground in your county and I want him to make inquiry about wheat whether any can be bought an d at what prices and you can let me know Yours respectfully AW Smith
