We are seeking more information for the Bequeaith family (Joseph Bequeaith)that arrived from Edinborough, Scotland at Philadelphia around 1804 with two or three brothers. They migrated west through the Ohio valley and lived for some time in Tazewell County, Ilinois. We have now been in the central Iowa area for several generations. We are truly interested in the origin of the "Bequeaith" family name. There are some unverified tales of French Heugonots, etc.
