Mariam Edminster (b. August 15, 1765, d. November 26, 1855)

Mariam Edminster (daughter of James Edminster and Miriam (Unknown))¹⁷⁵ was born August 15, 1765, and died November 26, 1855 in Shaftsbury, VT. She married Gardner Barton on September 14, 1788 in Swansea, Bristol Co., MA^{176, 177}, son of Richard Barton and Anney Gardner.

Notes for Mariam Edminster:
Gardner was married to Miriam Adminster, born 1764, daughter of James and Miriam Administer. No record of the marriage was found as it did not take place at either Warren or Swansea. Miriam may have been a daughter of the James Eiminister (Edminster?) who was a resident of Bristol, RI at the taking of the Census of 1790. She died Nov. 26, 1855, aged 91 years, and was buried with her husband (Shaftsbury Vit. Rec.).

(Note: According to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, UT, her name was Mariam Edmister and the marriage took place in Swansea, Bristol Co., MA on Sept. 14, 1788. Her name was probably misspelled or mis-read in the record. On films ## 0022366 item 3 & 0903395 items 7-8).
