Tyler Bigelow (b. August 13, 1778, d. May 23, 1865)
Tyler Bigelow (son of David Bigelow and Deborah Heywood) was born August 13, 1778 in Worcester, MA, and died May 23, 1865 in Watertown, Middlesex County, MA. He married Clarissa Bigelow on November 26, 1806 in Watertown, Middlesex County, MA, daughter of Timothy Bigelow and Anna Andrews.
Notes for Tyler Bigelow: Tyler graduated from Harvard and studied law with his cousin Timothy Bigelow at Groton. He commenced practice at Leominster, but removed to Watertown in 1804. He rose to a high rank in his profession, but in the prime of his life, gave up most of his practice due to deafness. He was considered a leading citizen in Watertown. On his death, he left a legacy of $10,000 to Harvard University as a fund for indigent meritorious students. He married his cousin Clarissa Bigelow, daughter of Colonel Timothy Bigelow and Anna (Andrews) Bigelow.
