Rehoboth, Mass, 1945, pp. 123-130: James Redway, progenitor of the family in America, was perhaps born in Dublin, Ireland, where on April 18, 1637 he apparently was servant to William Bladen, stationer and alderman of that city. He came to Hingham, Mass. about middle of the year 1637. Probably released in 1640 and married in 1641. Married ?---- who died after birth of last child in 1654. Children: Sarah, John, Mary, Martha, James, Lydia, Rebecca.\
