His place of burial information was given to me by his sister Betty. I found his date of death and place of death in Ancestry.
I found his date of birth on his WW1 Draft registration card, signed and filled in by himself. He states, at the time, he was 24 years old and he lived on Rt#2 in Arlington, Washington. He worked for Jack Spithill in Robe Washington as a logger. He was married and had two children. He signed and dated this on June 5th, 1917.

Robert Bernethy

Robert Bernethy, formerly of Gray's Harbor, passed away peacefully in his

sleep on December 22, 2001 in Snohomish.

He was born to James and Pearl (O'Leary) Bernethy on July 31, 1919 in Monroe,

Washington. After twenty-eight years of driving cement mixer for Graystone

Sand & Gravel, he retired to spend more time with his family. In his spare

time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading and playing cards.

Robert was a past member of disabled American Veterans. As a member of

Humptulips Grange, he helped activate the Humptulips Food Bank. He spent many

yearshelping to establish and promote the Aberdeen Chapter of Trout

Unlimited. During his tenure as a member and past officer, he worked on

several pet projects, including; Green Banks on the Hoquiam River, The Forks

Hole on the Humptulis River and Friends Landing on the Chehalis River.

Robert is survived by his children, Tim Bernethy, Dick Bernethy, Jan Cahill,

Joni Huebner, Colleen Shanks, Joyce Bailey, John Bernethy, Judi McKinney. His

foster children, Dan Sassaman, Debbie Hall and Christi Fleming. Two sisters,

Betty Armstrong and Phyllis Owens. Over forty grandchildren and

great-grandchildren and many friends and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, James Bernethy, Richard Bernethy,

Mae Jones and Patricia Bernethy.

He willbe greatly missed by all. At his request, there will be no services.

Simplicity Funeral Care of Snohomish is in charge of arrangements.

Pat requested that her ashes be spread at the beach. She was tossed into the Pacific ocean at Oyehut, Washignton not far form Ocean Shores, Washington.

I found, in her address book, she noted under the P's (why, God only knows) that she was saved on June 13, 1982. I found this touching.
