1. CASPER¹ BEFORT was born March 3, 1850 in Obermonjor, Russia, and died July 1, 1933 in Munjor, Ellis County, Kansas. He married MARIA EVA BAUER.

Notes for CASPER BEFORT:
When Casper and Maria decided to leave Russia, they had five weeks to get ready. They were issued travel passes in Samara, Russia, on the 6th day of June, 1892, and sailed with their children on July 12, 1892.

They settled in Catherine, Kansas, and found work there. Later they moved to a farm six miles west of Munjor.

Gerhart, George, Paul and Monica were born in Russia. Four other siblings were born and died there. Ida was born in Catherine, Kansas.
