The Lane Family of Marion County South Carolina

The family research is the results of years of interviews, looking through archives in the State Capital in Columbia, SC and input from family members all over the USA. The first leg of our research began researching the Lane Family lineage. It appears that the first traces of our family began in Marion County, South Carolina. The early records that we have include early US Census (See records below), that shows our forebearer was Susan Lane. Susan Lane was born into slavery. We have also found confirming information that shows who Susan's parents were. With this information, we can now say we can trace our ancesters all the way back to the early 1800's.

Our goal will be to provide each of you with a tool to view your history. Any information that you have will be welcomed and I will gladly share any information that I have. If there is any information that you would prefer not be shown, please contact me. Also, if there are corrections, please send those also.
