Family Tree Maker's Genealogy Site: User Home Pages: Beshires


I am searching the Beshires-Bishirs, Beshiers, Beshears Brashears line mainly. Almost nothing is known about them. The first verified appearance is in Tennessee in 1890, with my grandfather - Christopher Columbus Beshiers marriage to Lucinda Daniel. Some other lines allied with this one include Hankins, Daniel, Roach(Roche), and Poole. Also very interested in Lindsays and many lines from Scotland,Cook,Daniel,McCullough,Ritchie, Redling, Yarborough - all from North Carolina, Phifer, Wentz, Churtz, Vince -North Carolina and Germany.Also anything on Schwartzwalder or allied lines from Germany. Quite a bit of information on some of these lines can be found on this page, along with sources, when I was able to locate one. If you find something that you can use in your Family File, feel free to copy it. I would appreciate a mention in your sources as to where the info came from. By the same token, if you have material in your Family File that is missing in mine, please share it with me. That is the way we grow our trees. Please do not download any files from my site and then sell it as your original research,as has been done. The information in my file represents over 30 years of hard work, and while I am more than happy to share it with fellow researchers, I am highly upset that someone is selling it as 'their' research. This web site contains the most up-to-date information that I have about this family file. If it is not here, chances are I do not have it. Christopher Columbus 'Lum' and Lucinda Beshires (136 KB) Lum was born in 1871 and died in 1945. He seems to have appeared out of thin air. The first proof of his life is when he married Lucinda in 1890. I am the blonde baby in Lum's lap! Taken in 1943 or 44. James Orland and Eunice Lindsay Beshires (125 KB) Picture taken when James and Eunice married in 1942. James passed away in 1993 at the age of 73. Eunice is still alive at the age of 87. David Lindsay - 1858 - 1925 (234 KB) I always thought that David looked like Wild Bill Hickok. He was said to be a stern man. Margaret Roach Beshires 1842-1910 (96 KB) Margaret is Lum's mother. We have found no written records of her. Jim Beshires and Judy Beshires Rowland (76 KB) Me and my sister, Judy, taken about 1953 or so. Florence Cook Lindsay 1890-1958 (320 KB) Grandmother always loved her grandchildren. Some of my most memorable days were spent at her house.
