To find the exact roots of our family is proving more difficult then I thought, with anchestoral roots spread around the world, stretching from Australia, through India, Germany, England and Scotland. It was very pleasing to get an e-mail from a relation I did not know we had. Although only a recent beginner, I am pleased with the progress made (after many late nights). I have manage to trace the Betts roots to Lyng or Ling Norfolk, England Abt 1820. Before that is a blank so far, one side of the family say the Betts came from Germany originally, I will however see where my research leads me to.
