Later she returned to medicine concentration in Ehiropody and Podiatry. Dr. Ruby Elliott Ayres maintained a private practice in San Francisco, retiring in the mid 1970's. Ruby E. Ayres, the only living child of Alva C. and Ella Ayres, currently resides in San Franciso, California. Like her grandfather, Ruby's life has been devoted to the study and practice of medicine. In 1917 Ruby graduated from Coldwater High School, Michigan. She received her nursing degree from the University of Michigan. Later she returned to the study of medicine concentrating in the areas of Chiropody and Podiatry. She maintained a private medical practise in San Francisco, California, until her retirement in the mid 1970's
