Notes for Colton Ernest Bickford: This article appeared in the Coldwater newspaper dated Dec. 31, 1886: "Died, December 16, 1886, at Danville, Harper Co., Kan., Ernest, eldest son of Cage Bickford, a former resident of Algansee. He was sick but a short time and until a few days before his death was considered as improving. The disease was pronounced typhoid fever and many have fallen victims in that country to the same fever.
