Re:Diane Wilson: This information was provided by Bernice E. Bickford Shinn, daughter of Emerson Bickford. "Emerson was a carpenter and cabinet maker, also an avid expert gardener. We moved from Vallejo to Concord, CA. in 1930 during the Great Depression, where we girls grew up. Later, Dad and Mother moved to Whitmore, CA., 40 miles east of Redding, CA. and Dad retired to a 360 acre ranch and raised dairy cattle.
