My families lived in Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas and Oklahoma. My research has dealt primarily with the descendants of GEORGE RIDLEY who was born 1737 in Virginia and married 1. ELIZABETH WEATHERFORD and 2. SARAH VINCENT in 1776. George died in 1835 and Sarah in 1836. Both are buried in Mill Creek Cemetery in Nashville, TN. Names of those known to be buried in Mill Creek can be seen on the Davidson County, TN. website. The Friends of Mill Creek Cemetery, a non profit organization of which I am a member, helps to maintain this pioneer cemetery in Nashville. I completed a family history called "RIDLEY ROOTS" in 1999. The book is about George Ridley of Virginia and Tennessee and some of his descendants from 1737 to the present. Unfortunately, all copies have been sold.
