After almost 15 years of genealogy research, I am still in need of a lot of help in finding out about a number of my family tree branches. I am hoping with the advent of computer technology which enables us to communicate with the world that I will be able to meet someone who can provide a vital missing link to the next generation.I am seeking info on the following people: Alfred Allen RUSHTON b. 6 Mar 1810, Edgefield Co., SC, d. 17 Mar 1879, Columbia Co., AR. He does not appear on any census until 1840 when he is found in Butler Co., AL. Alfred m. 1) Nancy TILLERY on 13 Dec 1831, Butler Co., AL. She was b. 10 May 1810, Edgefield Co., SC, d. 16 Dec 1838, Butler Co., AL (she was the d/o Richard & Frances TILLERY). Alfred and Nancy had five chn: Elhannon Winchester (d. 10 years old), John Alen, William Joel (my great-grandfather), twins Nancy Ellen and Frances Jane. Alfred m. 2) Mrs. Sarah THOMAS and they had three chn: Alfred, Pirener, and Edith. Alfred and Sarah moved to Columbia Co., AR ca 1850. Alfred m. 3) Rebecca Kuykendall, no chn.Benjamin Thrice MULLINS b. 28 Jul 1830, GA, d. 28 May 1914, Columbia Co., AR. He m. Lucy Thomas Adeline OWEN(S) b. 12 Nov 1835, Troup Co., GA, d. 27 Nov 1912, Columbia Co., AR. One known brother, Joseph W. MULLINS b. 27 Jul 1840, GA, d. 26 Jun 1923, Columbia Co., AR. Joe m. Nancy Jane OWEN(S) b. 25 Jul 1842, Troup Co., GA, d. 30 Jul 1919, Columbia Co., AR (Nancy was the younger sister of Lucy T.A. OWEN(S)). Benjamin and Lucy were my ggreat-grandparents.Jonathan MULLIGAN b. ca 1815, GA or AL, d. after 1861. 1850 Dallas Co., AR census lists Jonathan MULIGAN with wife, Louisa, and chn: Louisa, Thos, Polk, & Dallas. 1860 Calhoun Co., AR census lists Jonathan MULIGAN with wife, Sarah, and chn: Ninian, William, James, John, Andrew, Sarah, & Susan. Family tradition says that Jonathan MULLIGAN was the father of William Thomas MULLIGAN b. 29 Nov 1845 in AL, d. 1 Nov 1931 in Calhoun Co., AR. Calhoun County courthouse records lists two marriages: Jonathan MULIGAN, 45, to Nancy BRUMLEY, 25, the first week of April 1861, and William T. MULIGAN, 17, to Lety BRUMLEY, 19, on 29 Jan 1862. Nancy & Lety were the daughters of William "Jasper" BRUMLEY b. ca 1805, Burke Co., NC and his wife, Mary HUTCHESON b. ca 1807, TN.Hartwell M. LUCUS b. 24 May 1832, Fayette Co., TN, d. 16 Nov 1914, Calhoun Co., AR. He was the eldest of a family of ten chn born to Ansil and Frances (JOHNSON) LUCUS, natives of TN and NC respectively. Need info on Ansil and Frances plus the siblings of Hartwell M. LUCUS. I believe he was the only one of the chn to move to AR. He was my gggreat-grandfather. James WEBB b. 7 Sep 1795, Robertson Co., TN, d. 18 Mar 1848, Union Co., AR. He m. Elizabeth Fitts on 18 Jul 1814 in Robertson Co., TN. She was b. 22 Dec 1800, Barnwell District, SC, (the dau. of Capt. John Fitts & Sarah Ferguson) d. 22 Mar 1885, Union Co., AR. They had 12 chn: A. Jackson, Daniel L., Emmarinda, William, James R., Polly, Mary A., Agnes M.(my ggreat-grandmother), Rebecca, Joseph, Lucy E., & Reuben WEBB. Would like to know the parents/siblings of James. Was Jordan WEBB of Bibb & Shelby Co., AL a brother?Hiram MOORE b. ca 1798 ?, d. 10 Dec 1858, Clark Co., AR. First wife was Nancy, second wife was Catherine B. Eads. Five known sons: Elisha (my ggreat-grandfather), Hiram, Lewis, John, & James. Need parents/siblings of Hiram, Sr. and info on the sons and any other chn.I have a lot of info on some of these families plus info on ABERNATHY/ABERNETHY, ROCKETT, WARE, MIMS, OWENS, FITE, and HAMMACK. My ancestors came from VA, NC, SC, GA, AL, TN, and possibly KY to settle in south central Arkansas.I welcome all inquiries from anyone with an interest in these families and will share what information I have.
