Notes for Rosina Bidwell: In the 1861 census Rosina is shown living with her grandparents John and Ann Musgrove at 2 Lead House Lane, St Philip & Jacob Within, Bristol. One of the witnesses named at John and Ann's wedding (Rosina's parents) was a John Musgrove
The 1871 Census has no record of Rosina or her parents
The 1881 Census shows Rosina as staying at 2 Staggs Court, St Philip & St Jacob.
Also on the same census living next door at 1 Staggs Court was an Ann Musgrove aged 67, her occupation is given as recipient charity, presumably this is Rosina's grandmother.
The 1891 Census shows Rosina and Daniel living at 3 Strodes Place, Ellbroad Street, Bristol. She is shown as a Tailoress and he as a Labourer. It is interesting to note that also living at the same address was her mother Ann and her daughter Annie. Ann's age is shown as 53 and Annie aged 3. Their surname is spelt BEDWELL. I am more inclined to believe that Annie is in fact the neice of Rosina, and the granddaughter of Ann. The same census shows that Rosina's brother Charles was recorded living at 10 Penn Street together with his son's Abraham, Charles, Edward and Henry but his wife Susan and daughter are not recorded. Susan have found is in a home at Wraxall in Somerset recorded as a patient but there is no record of Annie. As Charles and Susan had just lost their son Daniel it seems logical that the little girl would be looked after by her Aunt and Grandmother whilst Charles looked after the boys
