Searching for birthdate and birthplace of ROBERT FISHER, born (c) 1740 who married SUSANNA (Susan) BALL, daughter of WILLIAM BALL and MARTHA BRUMFIELD (MARTHA BRUMFIELD b.1725 was dtr of THOMAS BRUMFIELD, Berks Co.,Pa.) Also have been searching for place and date of marriage for this couple.

note: Exerpt from bible of JOSEPH FISHER,Grandson of ROBERT FISHER and SUSANNA BALL FISHER, mentions SAMUEL Fisher and ------Ball (possibly Sarah) as the parents of ROBERT FISHER. ...I have nothing further re parents of ROBERT FISHER...

SUSANNA BALL,(dtr of WILLIAM BALL SR and MARTHA BRUMFIELD) was born 1746 Philadelphia Co.,Penna.Ancestral file of descendents of MARY FISHER MOUNTJOY, dtr of ROBERT and SUSANNA FISHER states place of birth for both as Culpepper, but I have found no evidence to support this as Robert's place of birth. Susanna's paternal grandparents, JOHN BALL and SARAH RHOADES were married 12 Feb 1711 Burlington,NJ(marriage rec)They were Quakers who married out of meeting, but returned to meeting later.This couple was living in Plymouth Twp, Philadelphia Co.,Pa when son WILLIAM BALL(father of Susanna) was born. Latest deed records for Susanna's father, WILLIAM BALL SR., Philadelphia,Pa BkG, p. 309,29 May 1761. Three sons of WILLIAM BALL Sr, WILLIAM BALL,THOMAS BALL(later KY), and JOHN BALL who married SARA ELLEN PAYNE preceded WILLIAM BALL SR's daughter SUSANNA (SUSAN) BALL and ROBERT FISHER to Fauquier Co.,Va. I have not found proof of their father WILLIAM BALL SR. ever migrating from Penna.to the state of Va. From evidence I have found, I believe that that some researchers have confused WILLIAM BALL SR. with his youngest son WILLIAM BALL JR. in regard to migration to VA.

ROBERT FISHER and SUSANNA's first two children, SAMUEL FISHER and DUNLOP FISHER were born in Hackettstown, NJ in 1765 and 31 March 1767. ROBERT FISHER bought property in Fauquier Co.,Va June 1774 (DBK 6:4 from James and Hannah Bailey of Hamilton Parish and bought an additional 181 acres adj to JOHN BALL and his wife Sarah Ellen in 27 July 1778(DBK 6:476). Apparently the children who were born later to Robert Fisher and Susanna (Ball) Fisher were born in VA.

Note: Recently found following info: LOUDOUN CO.,VA DBK "K", pg 069 21 Dec 1773, THOMAS LUDWELL LEE to ROBERT FISHER (wife SUSANNA and first son SAMUEL) lease for life 113 acres, adj JAMES WINDSOR, JOHN DAWSON.
Loudoun Co.,VA DBK M, pg 136 17 July 1778, ROBERT FISHER, wife S and first son Samuel to JACOB CALOR, Assignment of lease 113 acres. This could be the same couple. Exerpt from the bibe of Robert's grandson(Joseph Fisher)from Heinman's book, "Fishers of the Southern States" also mentions that this couple had resided in Loudoun Co.,Va prior to moving to Fauquier Co.,Va.

FRANKLIN, GORDON, GRIGSBY, HOOE, HUBBARD, LANGHORN, MERRIDETH, MOUNTJOY, NEWTON , PAYNE, ROGERS, RHOADES(RODES), RUDD, STONE, TOWNSEND, WALKER, WASHINGTON, WILCOX, YOUNKIN (JUNGHEN)and others.
