Barnes, Hundley, Hughlett, Bromley and related families
Biggers, Castleberry, Garland and related families (Note: Burtonshall connection is questionable.)
This is a compilation of work done by many people and from many sources. It is meant to stimulate interest and conversation. I am by no means an expert nor a professional genealogist. Some of the documentaion is thin or non-existent. There is much work to be done just on these individuals, to say nothing of additions. It is my intent to find a means of collecting and publishing the stories of our ancestors as well as their mere existence. It is also my intent to encourage others to compile their own stories as well as their family members' for it is only by our work now that our descendants will know us and understand themselves.
Check out the kinship report. It's set up to show my relationship to you. If you'd like to know your relationship to another family member, let me know.
If you have trouble printing some of the text, reset your printer orientation to "landscape" and you will get a complete page.
Those descended from the Carswell line should click on Isabella Brown and view her connections to early kings of England, Scotland, France and Spain, according to the authors of "Alexander Carswell and Isabella Brown." This book was privately published in the 1970s. I have seen their claims and feel they may have some merit, at least back to the 16th century. Take them with a grain of salt. What is interesting is what happened after the first family reached the colonies. This will be the subject of further research on my part.
Stay tuned.
