| Updated 2/10/01 CHANGING E-MAIL ADDRESS SOON. jimbiggers@msn.com See also www.genealogy.com/users/b/i/g/James-Barnes-Biggers-Virginia/Tree/index.html Trying to decide which is best, although format, etc. seems the same. Feedback welcome. Barnes, Hundley, Hughlett, Bromley and related families Biggers, Castleberry, Garland and related families. Note: Burtonshall connection is questionable. Some of the birthdates are at odds with others. Also, there is some question about the Heard relationship. I don't have time for it right now. See www.familykinship.com/heardbasicpedigree.htm for more on the Heard problem. Late 18th c.Ivey ancestry is in question. I'm a compiler only, not an expert. Information here is meant to stimulate and encourage conversation. It is derived from many sources. Some documentation in thin or non-existent. If you think you have some corrections or additions to make please contact me. Those Biggers descended from Isabella Brown should click on "Isabella Brown" and view her supposed connections to ealry kings of England, Scotland, France and Spain. This info is from a book privately published in the 1970s. Take it with a grain of salt. What is important is what happened after the first family reached the colonies. There is much work to be done on just these individuals, to say nothing of addistions. It is my intent to collect the stories of our ancestors, not just their names and dates. It is also my intent to add photos to these homepage, but they will have to wait for more equipment. I encourage others to compile their own stories as well as their ancestors. Even if you think you don't have a story to tell someone down the road will wish you had written something about your life. I asked my mother to write something about her childhood memories and what she wrote is now one of my most treasured documents. It is only by our work now that our desecendants will know us and understand themselves. And PLEASE, PLEASE label any photographs you have with names. I go to many flea markets and antique shows and see boxes of old unmarked photos that I know someone, somewhere is desperately searching for but will never find because there ancestor didn't mark the pictures. Check the kinship report. It's set up to show my relationship to you. If yo'd like to know your kinship to another family member, let me know. I am endeavoring to list as many Barnes descendants of Lindsay Flemmon Barnes and Sarah Bromley. If you have additions or know someone who might, please contact me. Stay tuned. |
