This is a compilation of the different lines that have merged to become the Barretts of my generation. I am very proud to call myself a Barrett. As I looked at old photos I was able to see some of the similarities that our family has, things that have passed through the generations to make us who we are.
The major surnames included are: ADAMS, BARRETT, BATES, BRACY, BREWER, CRARY (from MacQUARRIE of Scotland), GALLOP (also spelled GALLUP) KNODT (also spelled KNODE), HEMENWAY, LAKE, SEDELMOHR, ZETTELMEYER (and variations). Besides the major names in our lineage there are many other branches on the tree, as well as those who have married into the lines.
As all good genealogists know, the story is never complete, as we are always adding members to the family. I want to thank those of my "cousins" who have helped me along the way as well as all of the genealogists who did not require payment for their information as they are the ones who have sacrificed their time for the art instead of the financial gain.
Just a sidenote... I am SOOO happy that I have this account with the information all stored on it as I fried my hard drive a month ago, and I just want to say thanks for letting me have this account. If anyone is looking for anyone who is not on this tree, and you need info, I cannot help you because, as I said just a second ago, my hard drive fried.
I have not privatized this because I believe that the information should be available to all researchers. However, I will work on privatizing it because I do have concerns for people getting their identities stolen. As far as the pictures I have left off the names and locations of anyone under 18 at the present time. Realize that the pics of people as kids who are adults now are named. If you are a relative and want to see the information I have here, contact me and I will give you the password to see the information.
