| I am researching the Bishop, Hulbert, Roche and Whitten genealogies. The Bishops were originally from Connecticut and Upper New York state. The first Bishop in America that we can trace as an ancestor was Rev. John Bishop 1610-1694. The Bishops, like so many others moved west; some to Illinois and then to California. The Hulberts were originally from Connecticut and Massachusetts. The Hulbert/Hurlbutt genealogy has been incredibly well documented on its' own web site. The Roches were from Ireland and I have little info on them. The Whittens were from Ohio and moved out to San Francisco. I will be happy to share any info that I have. |
