I started researching my family tree in 1993 when my aunt died. I went to her funeral and talked to my Great-anut and Great-uncle about the family. My Great-aunt had a cousin in Canada who had been researching the family tree for years and gave me her address. She was kind enough to give me most of the information that she had on my side and I have been adding to it ever since. It is easyer now with the internet. She did it the old fashond way with a lot of traviling and leg work. I have not heard from her in several years, so I don't even know if she is still living, but I would like to thank her for getting me started.
