War of the Roses(Blankenship & Lancaster)Updated December 8, 2008
I am researching both my heritage and my sons' heritage through their father.I am a Blankenship, allied with the House of York, and he is a Lancaster, obviously of the House of Lancaster, these were the two participant in the War of the Roses. I am of English, Irish, Scotch, French, Belgian, German, Portuguese, as well as Native American. My sons' father is also English, Irish, Welsh, Black, and Native American. I am pursuing genealogical certification at this time.I'm attending the University of Washington this year, and hope to obtain my national certification soon after that. Cousins, I hope you will contact me when you find or suspect there is a common ancestor.Working together make the job easier, and a lot more fun. I main brick wall right now is finding the birth place and parents of Thomas F. Weaver born 1853 or 1854 in North Carolina. He married Willie Cooper in 1883 in Albany, Lee Twp., Athens County, Ohio where all of their children were born.Willie died around 1900 and Thomas took the family to California and died in 1936 in Los Angeles County, California. I'm also hoping to find pictures.I have very few beyond my grandparents.I hope if you have pictures you will be willing to make copies at my expense and send them to me. I am very willing to share information, and those few pictures I have. I hope to hear from you soon. [email protected]
