White I Services for Monroe Albert White I will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the chapel of John Kramer & Son. burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Pineville. White, 84, of Pineville died at 6:15 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13 1993 in his residence. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of Tioga First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis J. White of Tioga; two sons, Louis D. White of Cottonport and B. Monroe White of Tioga; one daughter, Phyllis E. Finn of Tioga; three brother, Eddie L. White of Nederland, Texas and Vestie Clinton of Colfax; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and after 8:30 a.m. until time for services Thursday in the funeral home. Pallbearers were Cleveland Craig, Charles Finn, J. M. Gore, David Hawthorn, Floyd C. Ussery , Jeff White, L. P. White and Monroe A. White II.

Letter to Oveda Wahte sweat: Deer Sister and all, All ok except Dad he has a bone felon on his finger on the hand that he could use and now he not able to do anything. I had a letter from Monroe.. haven't heard from Jr in a long time . Well all the rest of the boys from around hear leave 13 April. Henry classed in 4F I guess they wont take him for a long time yeat. hope not for he just got a job.. Well I got a pretty garden started for the time of year & been so cool got beans coming up & tomatoes ready to set out. Will be eating greens in a day or so sure got a pretty ged of them.. I got 50 eggs settin, Im getting two dozen and more a day. believe me we got to work for something to eat over hear. Ill have plenty lard to do me & plenty soap made. Obituary for September 11, 1965 Rev. M. R. Nash succumbs at 42. Rev. Marlen Ray Nash, 42, of Gardner, died 4 a.m. today in an Alexandria Hospital. Rev. Nash was employed in Dixie Foundry in Marksville and had been a Rapides Parish church pastor . He was a candidate for the Rapide Parish School Board from WARD 5 in 1964. He was a World War II veteran. He is survived by his wife, Bernice Lewis Nash; two sons, Charles Ray Nash and Ronald Glenn Nash and one daughter, Debra Ann Nash of Gardner; his mother, Martha Nash of Boyce; four sisters, Pearlie Crysler of Pineville, Ollie Frazier of St. Clair, Laura Mae Nicho ls of St. Clair and Ridy Perkins of Boyce. Obituary: John L. Basco passed away July 7th, 1991 at 3:45 a.m. in Twelve Oaks Hospital i n H ouston, Texas. He was born June 19th, 1909 in the North Eastern part of Louisian. He wa s th e first of four children born into the family of Walter L. Basco and wive, Mendy Powel l Basco . He also was the first of the four children to pass away. John's father was in th e sawmil l and logging business. He moved his family to several places in Louisiana, then settled dow n in and around Hot Wells, Boyce and Alexandria, La. John went to school in Hot We lls and t o Boyce High School in Boyce, La. Later in life he married Lee Ellen Chidress of D eQunicy, L a. They moved to Beaumont, TX for a while, increased the family with one boy an d one girl . John always wanted to be an engineer on a passenger train. He took his famil y and moved t o Houston, TX. He did not become a passenger train
engineer because the railr oad company st arted closing down, but he did the next best thing. He did engineer freight t rain runs up un tl he retired at age 65. He was not a man with prejudices, he loved all mank ind and taught h is children to do unto ohters as you would have them do unto you. He had re quested for sever al years with everybody concerned that when he died he wated his body creme ated and his remai ns burried close to his father's grave in the Darkneal Cemetery, also know n by some people ye ars ago as Red Store Hill Cemetery. Time of burial will be Saturday, Jul y 20th at 2:00 p.m . This very well could be one in a few or be the first in the cemetery. Apoted by Janet but raised by her mother. New Article: Long-Lost Brother Found Here, Family Holds Reunion in Texas by John McConnell. Three brothers and two siters, one of them a Pineville man, will have a reunion in Orange, Texas, today after being separated for 28 years. The five children were left at a Jennings orphan home for adoption 28 years ago. They became separated and lost track of each other until last Saturday, when four of them were reunited in the home of one of the brothers, Fred
Hebert of Orange. A Texas newspaper reported the unusual story and said that the fifth child , named, Wilson, was last heard from the the vicity of Alexandrea, using the name Victor Rich . Reunited last Saturday were Dewey, Hebert, Channelview, Texas, Mrs. E. L. Silva, Beaumont , and Mrs. Manuel Rodiguez, New Orleans. Mrs. Rodiquez was the last "lost" sister to come in to contact with her
family. Lucky Contact Wayner Myers of Kolin, who is working in Orange, read the newspaper article and called Herbert. He told him that he knew a man named Victor Peart, who had formerly gone under the name Rich and could possibly be his brother. Hebert drove to Pineville located Peart and learned that he is Wilson, the missing brother. this discovery completed the reunion of the five children, who were all adopted by parties from the Jennings orphange. Peart, 30, who resides at 111-! Rainbow Drive in Pinevill, is married and has three children. His foster mother is Mrs. Bill Peart of Kolin. He was seperated from his (rest of article is missing)

Obituary; Kolin-Services for Victor Peart Sr will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Palmer Chapel Presbyterian Church with the Rev. B. G. Dyess officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under direction of Hixson Bros, Pineville. Peart, 71, of Kolin died 8:56 a.m. Saturday , Oct 9, 1993, in St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Palmer Chapel Presbyterian Church. He was a U.S . Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Norma Craig Peart of Kolin, six sons, Victor Peart Jr, Robert Joseph "Bobby" Peart, Gary Randall Peart Sr and Roger Dale Peart Sr, all of Kolin, George Arthur "Butch" Glasscock of Mancla and John Michael Glasscock of Echo; four daughters, Janet Lee Feville of Libuse, Judy Virginia Coutee of Cotile, Norma Jean Finley of Pineville, and D'Ann Baker of Shreveport; two brothers, Fred Hebert of Bridge City, Texas and Willie A. Peart III
of Kolin; one sister, Alice Hebert of Texas; 37 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4-10 p.m. today in the funeral home and from 9:30 a.m. until time of services Monday in the church. Pallbearers were Randal Peart, Charles Coutee, Gary Peart Jr, Johnny Fitzgerald, Chuch Chicola, Senver Finley, Richard Poche and Eddie Fitzgarald.
