By 1891 Samuel and his wife Sarah had moved to 38 Fearnley Street Hulme, Lancs. He was still a Carter, and his brother John James had joined him working as a joiner. Also in the household was a Grand daughter aged 3 Sarah A Spooncer born in Salford
